1
והוה מסוף עשרין שנין דבנא שלמה ית בית מקדשא דיי וית ביתיה:
bythyh wyth dyy mqdsha byth yth shlmh dbna shnyn eshryn mswp whwh
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built Yahweh’s house and his own house,

וקרויא דיהב חירם לשלמה בנא יתהון ואותיב תמן ית בני ישראל:
yshral bny yth thmn wawthyb ythhwn bna lshlmh khyrm dyhb wqrwya
Solomon built the cities which Huram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

ואזל שלמה לחמתא דצובה ואתקיף צירא עלה:
elh tsyra wathqyp dtswbh lkhmtha shlmh wazl
Solomon went to Hamath Zobah, and prevailed against it.

ובנא ית תדמור במדברא וית כל קרוי בית אוצריא דבנא שלמה בחמתא:
bkhmtha shlmh dbna awtsrya byth qrwy kl wyth bmdbra thdmwr yth wbna
He built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the storage cities, which he built in Hamath.

ובנא ית בית חורון עלאה וית בית חורון ארעאה קרוין כריכן מקפן שורן דשין ועברין:
webryn dshyn shwrn mqpn krykn qrwyn areah khwrwn byth wyth elah khwrwn byth yth wbna
Also he built Beth Horon the upper and Beth Horon the lower, fortified cities with walls, gates, and bars;

וית בעלת וית כל קרוי בית אוצריא דהוו לשלמה וית כל קרוי פרשיא וית כל רעות לביה דשלמה די צבא למעבד ולמבני בירושלם ובלבני ובכל ארע שולטניה:
shwlTnyh are wbkl wblbny byrwshlm wlmbny lmebd tsba dy dshlmh lbyh rewth kl wyth prshya qrwy kl wyth lshlmh dhww awtsrya byth qrwy kl wyth belth wyth
and Baalath, and all the storage cities that Solomon had, and all the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

כל עמא דאשתיר מן חתאי ואמוראי ופרזאי וחואי ויבוסאי דלא מישראל אנון:
anwn myshral dla wybwsay wkhway wprzay wamwray khthay mn dashthyr ema kl
As for all the people who were left of the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of Israel—

מן בניהון דאשתירו בתריהון בארעא די לא שיצנון בני ישראל ויהבנון שלמה למסקי מסין עד יומא הדין:
hdyn ywma ed msyn lmsqy shlmh wyhbnwn yshral bny shytsnwn la dy barea bthryhwn dashthyrw bnyhwn mn
of their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel didn’t consume—of them Solomon conscripted forced labor to this day.

ומן בני ישראל די לא יהב שלמה למהוי פלחין לעבידתיה ארום אנון גברי מגיחי קרבא ורבני גברוי ורבני ארתכוהי ופרשוהי:
wprshwhy arthkwhy wrbny gbrwy wrbny qrba mgykhy gbry anwn arwm lebydthyh plkhyn lmhwy shlmh yhb la dy yshral bny wmn
But of the children of Israel, Solomon made no servants for his work, but they were men of war, chief of his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

ואלין רבני אסטרטיגיא די למלכא שלמה מאתן וחמשין די מכבשין בעמא:
bema mkbshyn dy wkhmshyn mathn shlmh lmlka dy asTrTygya rbny walyn
These were the chief officers of King Solomon, even two-hundred fifty, who ruled over the people.

וית בתיה ברתיה דפרעה אסיק שלמה מקרתא דדוד לפלטירין דבנא לה ארום אמר לא אפשר דתשלט לי אתתא בבית דוד מלכא דישראל ארום קודשא אנון ולא כשר דתתיב תמן אתתא מן בתר דעל לותהון ארונא דיי:
dyy arwna lwthhwn del bthr mn aththa thmn dththyb kshr wla anwn qwdsha arwm dyshral mlka dwd bbyth aththa ly dthshlT apshr la amr arwm lh dbna lplTyryn ddwd mqrtha shlmh asyq dpreh brthyh bthyh wyth
Solomon brought up Pharaoh’s daughter out of David’s city to the house that he had built for her; for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places where Yahweh’s ark has come are holy.”

הא בכין אסיק שלמה עלון קדם יי על מדבחא דיי דבנא קדם אולמא:
awlma qdm dbna dyy mdbkha el yy qdm elwn shlmh asyq bkyn ha
Then Solomon offered burnt offerings to Yahweh on Yahweh’s altar which he had built before the porch,

ובמסת יומא ביומיה לאסקא קרבן תדירא הי כתפקדתא דמשה לשבתיא ומוספיא לרישי ירחיא ולמועדיא תלת זמנין בשתא בחגא דפטיריא ובחגא דמטליא:
dmTlya wbkhga dpTyrya bkhga bshtha zmnyn thlth wlmwedya yrkhya lryshy wmwspya lshbthya dmshh kthpqdtha hy thdyra qrbn lasqa bywmyh ywma wbmsth
even as the duty of every day required, offering according to the commandment of Moses on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, three times per year, during the feast of unleavened bread, during the feast of weeks, and during the feast of booths.

ואקים היכמה די פקיד דוד אבוי ית פלוגת כהניא על עבידתהון וליואי על מטרתהון לשבחא ולשמשא כל קבל כהניא כמסת יומא ביומיה ולתרעיא בפלוגתהון לכל תרעא ותרעא ארום היכנא תפקדתא דדוד נביא דיי:
dyy nbya ddwd thpqdtha hykna arwm wthrea threa lkl bplwgthhwn wlthreya bywmyh ywma kmsth khnya qbl kl wlshmsha lshbkha mTrthhwn el wlyway ebydthhwn el khnya plwgth yth abwy dwd pqyd dy hykmh waqym
He appointed, according to the ordinance of David his father, the divisions of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their offices, to praise and to minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required, the doorkeepers also by their divisions at every gate, for David the man of God had so commanded.

ולא עדו תפקדתא דמלכא על כהניא וליואי לכל פתגמיא ולאוצריא:
wlawtsrya pthgmya lkl wlyway khnya el dmlka thpqdtha edw wla
They didn’t depart from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites concerning any matter or concerning the treasures.

ואתקנת כל עבידת שלמה מן יומא דאתיסד בית מקדשא דיי עד יומא דאשתיצי ושלים בית מקדשא דיי:
dyy mqdsha byth wshlym dashthytsy ywma ed dyy mqdsha byth dathysd ywma mn shlmh ebydth kl wathqnth
Now all the work of Solomon was accomplished from the day of the foundation of Yahweh’s house until it was finished. So Yahweh’s house was completed.

הא בכן הליך שלמה לכרך תרנגולא ולאילות דעל כיף ימא בארעא דאדום:
dadwm barea yma kyp del wlaylwth thrngwla lkrk shlmh hlyk bkn ha
Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and to Eloth, on the seashore in the land of Edom.

ושדר ליה חורם בידא דעבדוי אלפיא ועבדין חכימין בימא ואתו עם עבדי שלמה לאופיר ונסיבו מתמן ארבע מאה וחמשין קנטנרין דדהבא ואיתיו לות מלכא שלמה:
shlmh mlka lwth waythyw ddhba qnTnryn wkhmshyn mah arbe mthmn wnsybw lawpyr shlmh ebdy em wathw byma khkymyn webdyn alpya debdwy byda khwrm lyh wshdr
Huram sent him ships and servants who had knowledge of the sea by the hands of his servants; and they came with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and brought from there four hundred fifty talents of gold, and brought them to King Solomon.
